Spinal Manipulation

Spinal manipulation is a skilled technique where a licensed physical therapists applies a specifically directed thrust near the end of the physiological range of motion.  This is often accompanied by an audible ‘crack’ called a cavitation.  Spinal manipulation is an intervention that physical therapists have been employing since the beginning of physical therapy practice.
