Having been a leader in corporate workplaces for twenty-five years, before launching my consulting and coaching business, I can say that my opinion on virtual workplaces has definitely changed with the times from 'not a' to RAVING fan.

Flashback to eight years ago (almost to the day) and youd find me sequestered with my 3-week old firstborn. I was a later in life mom (I prefer that to the term 'geriatric' that my doctors used) and was just a little overwhelmed. Although I was supposed to be on maternity leave, I was sneaking in calls to the office like an addict sneaking a fix. They thought I was worried about things falling apart without me, but actually, I was worried about ME falling apart without getting to do SOMETHING I was good at and that was familiar.
