Each child applying for the DCS Kindergarten program must be five years old by December 2 to be considered for kindergarten. Kindergarten assessments will be given to students whose birthdate falls between September and December in order to determine the best academic placement for each student.
Students with birthdates January through August will automatically be placed into a Kindergarten classroom unless otherwise determined in meeting with the principal. The kindergarten assessment/family interview will be scheduled between April and July.
