Building Foundations for a Better Future
Creating lasting change starts with stability and structure. The Salvation Army's Lied Transitional Housing Program is more than just housing; it's the final step towards self-sufficiency for many individuals seeking a brighter path.
Meeting the Need for Self-Sufficiency
Self-sufficiency is a universal goal, and our program addresses this need head-on. With 69 apartments on our Owens Campus, we offer a supportive environment where clients can cultivate life skills, develop personal structure, and gain confidence.
Empowering Change Through Education
Our program goes beyond shelter. While living in our apartments, clients receive case management and educational opportunities that cover personal finance and essential life skills. This knowledge is put into practice in a semi-structured environment, setting the stage for self-sufficiency.
A Bridge to Independence
Many of our clients are embarking on new employment journeys. Our program provides the necessary framework to solidify habits that lead to self-sufficiency. With up to 12 months in our apartments, individuals can save for a more permanent solution, ready to step forward confidently.
Creating Change, Together
We understand that housing alone is not enough; it's the comprehensive approach that matters. As stated by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the coordination of housing and supportive services is vital in ending homelessness.
Your Partnership Makes a Difference
Our work is made possible by individuals like you who believe in the power of change. By sponsoring an apartment for a year with a donation of $2,500, you play a pivotal role in transforming lives.
The men and women who complete our program emerge equipped with the tools to create fulfilling and productive lives. They become contributing members not only to their growth but to the prosperity of our entire community. Join us in building foundations for a brighter future.
