The academy spans eleven engaging weekly sessions, each lasting approximately three hours and led by seasoned members of the Police Department. Participants will delve into various facets of policing, including an overview of the Criminal Justice System, Use of Force protocols, Criminal Investigations, arrest procedures, Search and Seizure laws, Building Searches, and Traffic Stops. Through a blend of classroom instruction and hands-on activities, attendees will gain practical insights, culminating in a graduation dinner where they will receive a certificate of completion.
