Citizens Volunteer Program

Rooted in community service, this program aims to foster and fortify the bond between our department and the residents we proudly serve, offering volunteers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to their local community.

Volunteers play a pivotal role in supporting the Police Department, enabling officers and essential personnel to allocate their time to critical tasks. From administrative duties to community outreach efforts, telephone operations, assistance with the House Watch program, and various other assignments as delegated by the Chief of Police or the Community Services Division, participants contribute their skills and dedication to enhance agency efficiency. Moreover, volunteers lend their support to special events such as National Night Out, further enriching community engagement.

In 2017 alone, our volunteers generously donated over 600 hours to the program, exemplifying their commitment to service. We are thrilled by the program's significance and anticipate its continuous growth and impact.
